Dana Novak, Fuller Awardee AWWA's presigious George Warren Fuller Award was presented to Dana Novak, Area Manager at Nalco Chemicals (Fairbanks) for her distinguished service to the water supply field in commemoration of the sound engineering skill, brilliant diplomatic talent, and constructive leadership which characterized the life of George Warren Fuller. For over 28 years, Dana has supported the water and wastewater industry in alaska and the Alaska Section of AWWA with her knowledge, dedication, and mentoring. Dana routinely vounteers to give technical presentations at our conferences. Her particular forte concerns the corrosion process, and control though water chemistry. Since 2010, Dana has worked tirelessly as AWWMA's Membership Committee Chair, and serves as a member of our Board of Directors. One of AWWMA's ongoing efforts is to recognize the importance of the professionals responsible for the delivery of quality water and wastewater utility services. These people include not only the operators who are directly in charge of hands-on day to day utility operations, but also the utility managers, supervisors, laboratory technicians, engineers, scientists, and educators who all contribute to this effort. To provide this recognition, the Association hosts an awards program at our Statewide Annual Conference, where individuals and/or facilities deserving recognition receive awards at that event.
